EVENTS OF THE UPCOMING SEASON : THE BIENNALE PARIS
Feeling blue at the idea of going back to work in September ? Let’s overcome it. Pop My World went through September’s hottest events and invites you to discover the Biennale Paris (Paris Biennial), which will take place in September 8th-16th at the Grand Palais.
The name sounds foreign ? It’s normal. In its earlier days, ‘Biennale Paris’ was called ‘Biennale des Antiquaires’ (Antiquarians’ Biennial). For all art lovers around the world, it is an event not to be missed ; the Biennale Paris represents for half a century the French way of life.
Biennale Paris is organised by the SNA (the French Antiquarians National Syndicate) and it is gathering loyal and renowned exhibitors, international galleries, as well as fine jewelry houses. This event is expected to exhibit prestigious tapestry collections, furniture and jewelry that will delight both amateur visitors as well as the most demanding collectors. Biennale Paris, which became since 2017 an annual event, is not going to let you down with the Nef of the Grand Palais’ 13 500 m² of surface.
The Nef of the Grand Palais is Europe’s biggest canopy, and a strong figurehead of the 19th century. Its architecture made of glass and iron brings to light the exhibited collections and comes together in harmony with this event’s radiating image of French elegance.
The Biennale Paris is your chance to travel back in time and discover for a day an important part of French history. There’s no doubt that everyone’s needs will be met there, as everyone can find their own little glint of nostalgia.
You can have easy access to the place of the event, whether it is by bus, RER or subway. There are also lots of car parks nearby.
